Simi Covenant Church is committed to serving the neediest people in our community in real, tangible ways. The primary ways this happens is through P.A.D.S., Community Dinners, and our Food Pantry.
P.A.D.S. (Public Action Delivering Shelter)
is the emergency homeless shelter that is held at different churches in town during the winter. Simi Covenant is responsible for every other Friday night. We provide a snack and breakfast for about 35 people, as well as overnight monitors to help out for the evening. If you are interested in helping, please contact
the office.
The Community Dinners provide dinner for the homeless every night at different places in Simi Valley. Simi Covenant provides dinner at the Samaritan Center on the third Sunday of the month. We need people to provide dinner and serve dinner, if you would like to help out, please contact the office.
The Simi Covenant Food Pantry is there to help those who are in the midst of crises. There is a wagon outside the Worship Center every Sunday for donations, we also accept them any time at the main office. If you would like to donate, help with the pantry, or are in need, please contact the office.
For Simi Covenant Church caring for those in need, in our congregation and in our community, is central to who we are as followers of Jesus. The Old Testament tells us over and over again to take care of the needy, Jesus reminds us that “whatever you did for one of the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you did for me.” Showing Gods love in tangible ways, blessing our community with what God has given to us, is a requirement of being a follower of Christ.
If you are interested in helping, please call the office or email the church office.
